Kiev came under early morning Russian airstrikes, with Ukrainian authorities reporting that unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) debris fell in three districts of the capital and a fire broke out on the roof of an apartment building.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said in a Telegram post that a fire had broken out on the roof of a nine-story apartment building in the Dnipro district, noting that there were no reports of casualties.

The fire was caused by “falling debris,” said the head of Kyiv’s military administration, Serhii Popko, who urged residents to stay in shelters. He added that debris also fell on several streets in Darnitsky and Solomyansky districts.

The airstrike alert was raised 45 minutes after midnight, with the Ukrainian military warning of Shahed drones in the Kiev region.
