Rapper Filipe Ret recovered his vehicle, on the night of this Friday (19), after an arrest at a blitz, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), during the early morning. In a video on Instagram, the artist said that the McLaren GT, valued at R$ 3 million, was taken by the authorities because it was circulating without the front plate.

“Many articles put: ‘Filipe Ret is stopped in the Prohibition blitz and has car impounded’. This suggests that I drank, but I didn’t. It was cool, I didn’t drink, I did the breathalyzer and I was approved”, explained Ret. “I was driven to the police station because I had no license plate on my car. I always follow the law. Everything I own is legal. I pay my taxes and everything I have, thank God, is absolutely legal.”

The Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB) considers the offense of driving without a license plate to be extremely serious. In addition to apprehension, the driver loses seven points on his license. In case of proof of crime, the driver can get from 4 to 8 years in prison and a fine.

In the case of Ret, according to G1, the missing plate would have fallen. Thus, the artist was able to remove the car after replacing the front plate and paying the fine, in addition to the towing fee and the deposit fee at the Detran yard.
