Strong seismic vibration, magnitude 4.9 on the Richter scale, occurred in Adana, Turkey at 15:46, centered in the Saimbey area, according to AFAD (Turkish Disaster Management Agency). The focal depth is estimated at 6.67 kilometers, while the earthquake was also felt in neighboring areas.

Nine minor aftershocks followed, the strongest of which measured 3.6 on the Richter scale, and was noted at 16.19. The head of AFAD clarified that so far no injuries or serious damage have been reported from the earthquake.

It is noted that in the devastating earthquakes of February 418 people lost their lives in Adana.
