For on March 25, 2024 Donald Trump’s trial on charges of falsifying business documents to cover up payments to porn star Stormy Daniels to buy her silence has been set.

State District Court Judge Juan Merchan in Manhattan set that date Tuesday during a hearing in which Trump participated online.

The former US president has pleaded not guilty to all 34 charges falsification of business documents it faces.

Trump, wearing a blue suit and red, striped tie, sat next to his attorney, Todd Blanch, and his image was displayed on at least four screens inside Merchan’s courtroom.

As the hearing began, Blanche said his client understood he could not disclose certain evidence to third parties, including the media and social networking sites.

The restrictions imposed by the judge on Trump relate to the transcripts from the Grand Jury meeting, witness statements and other material that prosecutors are required to give to the defense in order to prepare for trial.

Prosecutors said the order was necessary because Trump has a history of attacks on social networking sites and because hethere is a risk of witness harassment.

Earlier this month, the judge ruled that Trump is free to talk about most of the evidence from his own defense team.
