Video of the moment a Ukrainian drone allegedly damages the Russian warship Ivan Hurs in the Black Sea, the Ukrainian side announced. Ukraine claims that the Russian warship was damaged by yesterday’s attack by the unmanned speedboats.
The Russian ship was protecting the TurkStream and BlueStream gas pipelines, which carry gas from Russia to Turkey
The Russian Defense Ministry said yesterday that the attack had been repulsed and all the unmanned speedboats had been destroyed. Russia claimed that “the ship continues to perform its functions” without however to report his status, commented on Kiev.
The TurkStream pipeline carries gas from Russia’s Taman Peninsula across the Black Sea to a point west of the Bosphorus. The Blue Stream, however, crosses the eastern Black Sea from north to south, reaching land more than 700 km east of the Bosphorus.
Ivan Hurs is a medium-sized reconnaissance ship launched in 2013.
