More than ten explosions were heard today in its center Kievminutes after the anti-aircraft sirens went off.

“Explosions in the city, in the districts of the center,” the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitaliy Klitschko wrote on Telegram, calling on residents to stay in shelters.

“The anti-aircraft defense is in action,” said a spokesman for the Kiev military command.

Meanwhile, the Russia hit a military target in the Khmelnytsky region in western Ukraine in anti-aircraft fire hits early today while five aircraft were taken out of service, the local governor said.

“Currently, work is continuing to bring the fires under control in facilities storage for fuel, oil and ammunition,” the Khmelnytskyi local governor’s office said on the Telegram app.

The local governor’s office said restoration work is underway hallway landing-takeoff, without giving more details about the points hit.

Russia has launched missile and drone attacks across Ukraine as part of its invasion of the country.
