The Russian capital was the target of a rare drone attack in the early hours of the morning, causing “minor” material damage to buildings but no casualties, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sabianin announced.

“In the morning, at dawn, an attack by drones caused minor material damage to buildings. The city’s emergency services have rushed to the scene (…) No one has been seriously injured,” at least based on the information “so far,” the mayor said via Telegram.

According to Russian channels on the Telegram platform, four out of ten UAVs moving towards the Russian capital were shot down. The governor of Moscow spoke through the same platform about “several” such aircraft that were intercepted as they approached the city.
