The United States are still gathering information on reports of drone strikes in Moscow, the White Houserepeating that the Washington does not support attacks inside it of Russia and focuses on helping her Ukraine to retake its lands.

“We saw the news and are still gathering information about what happened. As a rule, we do not support attacks inside Russia,” the White House spokesman said in a statement.

The White House spokesman said Washington is “focused on helping Ukraine with the equipment and training it needs to retake its sovereign territories” and pointed to Russian attacks on Kiev, which has been hit by drones or missiles 17 times in May.

Russia said Ukrainian drones struck affluent Moscow districts today, targeting areas where President Vladimir Putin and members of the Russian elite have residences. According to the mayor of Moscow, two people were injured.

Putin said today’s attack was an attempt to intimidate and provoke Russia and that air defenses around the capital would be strengthened.
