A Russian-appointed official in Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region said Friday that Ukrainian forces bombed the Russian-held port city of Berdyansk in the Sea of Azov and how the injury of nine people has been reported.

“Information about casualties is being clarified,” the official in question, Vladimir Rogov, said on the Telegram messaging app. He posted video that appears to show a large cloud of gray smoke rising from a point near the port area.

Reuters was able to confirm that the location where the video was shot is Berdyansk, but cannot independently verify the date the video was shot.

Zaporizhia is one of five Ukrainian regions, including the Crimean peninsula, that Russia claims to have annexed.
