London, Thanasis Gavos

In the High Court of London is the prince harry continuing for a second day his testimony in the case of a lawsuit against the MGN publishing group for tapping and monitoring his voicemails.

The allegations cover the period 1996-2010 and the legal team representing the Duke of Sussex has chosen to focus the trial on 33 articles from the group’s Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People newspapers.

The “interrogation” of the 38-year-old prince is continued by the advocate of the MGN group, Andrew Green.

On Tuesday, Mr. Green sought to debunk the wiretapping allegations by citing for each of the 33 articles other possible, legitimate, sources of information for the journalists or pointing to previous publications of similar content.

He suggested that the plaintiff’s complaints have more to do with his annoyance at the indiscretion of the publications than with evidence of wiretapping.

Prince Harry insisted that certain details in the disputed articles could only have been the product of illegal methods.
