The Turkish president and the Turkish Cypriot leader made joint statements in occupied Nicosia shortly before 5 pm and after preceded by two and a half hours of meetings, the first in person and the remaining hour and a half between delegations.
Erdogan said that their priority is the transfer of electricity from Turkey to the pseudo-state, which will solve the problem of electricity supply, and he wished that the construction of approximately 1,190 social housing units in the Deryneia area would soon begin.

Erdogan said that it is a tradition for the Turkish president to go on his first trip outside of Turkey after his election, to the pseudo-state and he followed this tradition, while from the occupied territories he will go directly to Azerbaijan where he will also have meetings there, he will spend the night in Baku and tomorrow he will return to Ankara.
