Nottingham city center on lockdown in a radius of a few kilometers the police have moved because “major incident”, which has not been determined.

‘We woke up this morning at 5:30am to what sounded like gunshots – we ran to the window and there was armed police coming out of an undercover car. The suspect was tasered and dragged out by them.’

Many roads are closed, the city’s tram service has been suspended and citizens are being asked to avoid the centre.

It’s on point strong police presence with dozens of patrol cars, as well as ambulances, fire engines, but also men from the police unit that coordinates operations of multiple security services.

The police have not given any further details, but the scale of the mobilization is described as unusually large.
