Two 19-year-old students and a man in his 50s are the victims of the early morning attacks in the center of Nottingham by a 31-year-old man who has been arrested.

All three victims succumbed in stab wounds, as announced in a short briefing by the commander of the Nottinghamshire police department.

As he said, it is believed that the attacker stole the dead man’s white van, drove away with it three other people who are hospitalized and attacked the two Nottingham University students with a knife.

Of the three injured, one is hospitalized in critical condition, while the other two have minor injuries.

The police assured that the city center is now safe for the public, as well it is not believed that the perpetrator had an accomplice.

The arrest of the suspect was made with the use of a taser gun after the van he was traveling in was stopped by police, possibly with the use of gunfire.

No further details were given on the motives of the attacks

Earlier it was known that the anti-terrorist service was involved in the investigations, but with the police saying that all possibilities are being considered. For the time being, the arrested person is being held on suspicion of committing murders.
