THE Hunter Biden, son of American president joe biden, will plead guilty to three counts, two misdemeanors and one felony, according to the Ministry of Justice.

Hunter Biden, who has often caused his father “headaches” with his scandals, reached a plea deal with prosecutors and he will avoid prisonUS media reports.

The son of the US president has been under investigation for years for tax and financial improprieties.

Biden pleads guilty to two misdemeanor counts of tax evasion and on a separate federal felony count of firearms possession, Reuters reports.

The investigation was led by US Attorney David Weiss of Delaware, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump in 2018.

President Biden kept Weis in place, apparently to avoid accusations of interfering with the investigation into his son.

The agreement with prosecutors must however be approved by federal judge.

The Hunter Biden investigation has been an ongoing political issue for the Biden administration. Republicans hammered the administration for “two measures and two standards”, claiming that son Biden is being treated differently by the authorities, unlike Donald Trump.
