More than 300 people, most of them unvaccinated (approximately 85-87%), have died from Covid in the last 15 days in the hospitals of Macedonia and Thrace, which fall under the responsibilities of the 3rd and 4th RAE, while the number of patients in single beds today amounts to 1008 and of ICU patients to 159.
According to information, from October 22 until today, 160 people have died from Covid in hospitals under the responsibility of the 3rd RAE (Thessaloniki and Western Macedonia), while from October 25 until today 159 have died in the area of ​​responsibility of the 4th RAE (Thessaloniki, East Macedonia and Thrace).
The picture of hospitalizations today in the 14 hospitals of the 3rd RAE is as follows: 529 hospitalized in single beds (74.9% unvaccinated) and 91 in ICU (91.2% unvaccinated). Currently, 479 (74.3% unvaccinated) and 61 in ICU (89.7% unvaccinated) are hospitalized in the 14 hospitals of the 4th RAE.
As the Minister of Health Thanos Plevris had pointed out, during his visit to Thessaloniki, last Friday, most of the vaccinated patients treated for Covid had been vaccinated six or more months ago.
