The former Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardernwrites a book about how “you can be your own leader and make a difference”.

In a statement on her Instagram account, Ardern clarified that she did not want to write a book about her years in politics.

“I didn’t want to write a book about the domestic politics of the last five years and then someone convinced me that I shouldn’t,” he said. “What might be worth it is to expand on some of the issues I talked about in my farewell speech – like the idea that you can be your own leader and make a difference. Jacinda Ardern, who turns 43 next month, unexpectedly retired from politics in January after five tumultuous years, saying she no longer had “enough reserves” to continue.

During her tenure, she won widespread acclaim abroad, although she became increasingly unpopular at home.

During the tenure he managed a terrorist attack in Christchurch, a volcanic eruption with many casualties and the Covid-19 pandemic, which closed New Zealand’s borders for two years.

Ardern was the youngest female prime minister in history when she took office in 2017 at the age of 37. In 2018, she became only the second head of government to give birth while in office. Later that year, she took her daughter with her to the UN General Assembly in New York.
