Incalculable damage have been caused to Netherlands from the unprecedented bad weather affecting the country, because of which a woman she lost her life.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, one of the busiest airports in Europe, aborted over 400 flights, a spokesman said, with traffic expected to be limited until at least 4pm (5pm Greek time).

Rail operators NS and Arriva suspended all services in the north of the country, while traffic was disrupted on a motorway north of Amsterdam due to fallen trees.
