Cavaliere left most of his fortune to his two eldest children, but all of his relatives, partners and his latest partner are taking part of the huge inheritance
Just 15 days since his funeral in Piazza Duomo, Milan, Silvio Berlusconi’s will was opened yesterday afternoonwhich was drawn up on January 19, 2022, the day the former Italian prime minister was admitted to San Raffaele Hospital in Milan.
Berlusconi left the bulk of his fortune to his two eldest children, but part of the inheritance – amounting to 3.6 billion euros – goes to all his relatives, associates as well as his last partner, Marta Fascina.
According to the Italian news agency Ansa:
– 53% of the Fininvest group, which manages the shares of all the remaining companies, will henceforth belong to Cavaliere’s two eldest children, Marina and Piersilvio, Italian news agency Ansa reports.
– The three youngest children, Barbara, Eleonora and Luigi, according to this information, will own the minority shares of the financial empire.
– Silvio Berlusconi in his will stipulated that 100 million euros be given to his brother, Paolo, and
– another 100 to his last partner, Marta Fasina, whom he had “married” in a symbolic wedding.
To his close associate and former MP Marcello Dell’Utri, “Mr. TV” leaves 30 million euros.
At the end of the text it says: “Thank you, my love to all of you, your father, Silvio Berlusconi”
After the contents of Silvio Berlusconi’s will were made public this morning, shares in his group of companies fell on the Milan stock market.
Cash, stocks, mobiles and real estate worth 3.6 billion euros, the property of Bellusconi
According to La Repubblica Berlusconi’s legacy consists of shares listed on the stock exchange which at market prices approach 2.9 billion euros.
To which is added a network of other companies that includes villas and other properties, the football team of Monza in Serie A, a series of finances investments in digital companies, one fleet of three aircraft and one helicopter etc.
It is noted that the inheritance is largely contained under the control of the company Fininvest and in various well-known family residences which, together with other operational assets (boats, sailboats and various works of art) under the control of the company Idra, reach a value of 425 million euros .
They are also added to them Mediaset (Mfe-MediaForEurope, after its move to Amsterdam), Banca Mediolanum and the publishing house Mondadori.
Meanwhile, Berlusconi’s total assets exceed 3.6 billion euros.
The Italian newspaper emphasizes that the property of 3.6 billion euros “is certainly a conservative estimate”, and the real amount is much higher.
On June 12, the same day that La Repubblica did a similar analysis, Forbes magazine made a higher estimate: “Berlusconi had a net worth of $6.8 billion at the time of his death,” more than 50% of which tied up in investments and cash.
