This is the lowest percentage of voting intentions for the ecological party since 2018.
Greens leader Robert Hambeck’s plan to replace oil and gas burners in buildings with more environmentally friendly forms of heating is being met with strong opposition and concerns. The main concern is cost, although the government assures that it will not force occupants of buildings with operating systems to replace them and that incentives and subsidies will be available.
The conservative Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and its sister party in Bavaria, the Christian Social Union (CSU), which are not part of the government, remain the strongest together with 28% of the vote, according to the poll.

The other two partners in the governing coalition remain stable: the Social Democratic Party (SPD) at 18%, the Free Democrats (FDP) at 7%.
