Seven people were injured in an accident today during a performance at one of Germany’s largest amusement parks, the famous Europa-Park in the city of Rust in Baden-Württemberg.

According to radio station SWR, the accident occurred when part of a stage erected for the purpose of a show called “The Return of the Pirates” collapsed.

On June 19, a fire broke out in Europa-Park, forcing the authorities to evacuate 25,000 visitors and workers. The fire was attributed to a “technical problem”.

The theme park is located just outside Freiburg in southwestern Germany, near the French border. It opened its doors in 1975 and receives nearly 6 million visitors each year, according to its owners.
