The death toll from Monday’s explosion in the southern Dominican Republic city of San Cristóbal has risen to 25, up from 11 earlier, Delfin Civil Protection Deputy Director Antonio Rodriguez told SIN news network today.

“According to the information of the National Health System, 25 bodies have already been collected,” Rodriguez said.

Searches continued last night, Tuesday into Wednesday, mainly with the help of dogs that found at least three bodies, according to SIN.
