A Russian missile hit a central square in the city of Chernihiv in northern Ukraine this morning, as announced by Sweden, where Ukrainian President Zelensky is.

“Russian missile hit right in the center of our city of Chernihiv. A square, the Polytechnic, a theater. A Saturday like any other, which Russia turned into a day of pain and loss. There are dead, there are wounded,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram, along with a video of the attack without specifying the number of victims.

For his part, the governor of the Chernihiv region Vyacheslav Chaus wrote on Telegram: “The enemy bombarded the center of Chernihiv. A ballistic missile. Stay safe. Details are awaited.”
