The flight grounded at East Midlands Airport yesterday, following reports that a man on the plane claimed to be in possession of an explosive device.
Later, the police arrested a manbut no bomb was found after searching the plane and so the threat was deemed unsustainable.
The flight, bound for Antalya in Turkey, was scheduled to depart at 4:45 p.m. but ended up leaving the runway at 8:08 p.m., according to Jet2’s website, after the passenger was removed.

“The aircraft was on the ground at the time of the incident. Officers worked with airport staff and the flight crew to immediately respond to the bomb report. For public safety and officer safety, armed officers were deployed on board the aircraft.”. The police announced.
