According to a DailMail report, her arm had to be amputated after the shark bit her viciously while she was swimming with a friend.
She was rescued from the sea unconscious and later hospitalized. Her condition was later described as “stable”.
Reports say that swimmers at Laguna Beach in Dahab initially mistook the shark for a tuna.

Beachgoers fled the sea after the attack in the resort of Dahab, about 36 miles north of Sharm el-Sheikh.

The beach in southern Sinai was closed by the authorities after the attack. Despite a two-hour search, authorities were unable to locate the shark.
A shark was seen moving in the waters off the Egyptian resort of Dahab in August, prompting a temporary swimming ban at the time, but it has since reopened.
The attack on the woman follows an incident in June when Russian tourist Vladimir Popov, 23, was killed by a tiger shark in Hurghada.
One theory is that it was killed by a predator that had also fatally attacked tourists a year earlier.
Tourists watched in horror from shore as the beast mauled the man before dragging him underwater. His distraught girlfriend managed to escape.
The tourist was on an extended stay in Egypt and had moved into a resort with his father several months ago.
