“We want to move as quickly as possible and as efficiently as possible, this is what we did in the part of the compensations” noted Mr. Triandopoulos
“The work of support and restoration continues at the same intensive pace, it continues by all those involved in the field, alongside the citizens, who are being tested in these very difficult times” the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection emphasized a while ago, Christos Triandopoulos from Business Coordination Center in Larissa.
“We want to move as quickly as possible and as efficiently as possible, that’s what we did in the part of the compensations” noted Mr. Triandopoulos adding that after yesterday’s payment of the first compensations, approximately 25 million eurosthe process continues and more payments will follow in the coming days.
As announced by the deputy minister, until today at noon on the state aid platform, https://arogi.gov.gr/ 12,319 final applications have been submitted, as well as 4,262 provisional applications.
At the same time, as he underlined, the work of the levels for the autopsies and the records by the levels of the General Secretariat for the Restoration of Natural Disasters and State Aid continues.
According to Mr. Triandopoulos, it is estimated that with the completion of today’s project, approximately 10,000 autopsies will have been carried out by the levels, which do not only focus on the problems in the household equipment of the houses but also on the damage that the buildings present.
“Until yesterday, the number of records of damage to buildings, residences, business premises has reached 247 and I am referring to the damage to the structure of these buildings. 143 are marked as dangerous for use, i.e. as red, 92 are characterized as temporarily unsuitable for use until they are repaired, i.e. as yellow, and 12 as suitable for use in need of minor repairs, i.e. as green” said Mr. Triandopoulos, while he then added that the relevant checks are continuing with these buildings being included in the context of housing assistance coverage.
Afterwards, Mr. Triandopoulos reiterated the state aid framework which, among other things, covers household equipment, basic needs, the restoration of houses and buildings of any use, the subsidy to businesses and livestock units, the coverage of losses in agricultural holdings including the holy capital and the rent and cohabitation subsidy.
Mr. Triandopoulos, referring to temporary housing subsidyclarified that it concerns cases where the first residence has been deemed unsuitable and must epackaged or remanufactured. Subsequently, he emphasized that it is granted to the beneficiaries depending on the members of the household who lived in the affected residence and will range from 300 to 500 euros per month, while it will be granted for two years to the owners and for six months to the tenants.
Regarding the procedure, as Mr. Triandopoulos pointed out, the beneficiaries submit application to the competent service of the General Secretariat for the Rehabilitation of Natural Disasters and State Aid for the granting of the subsidy, choosing either the rent subsidy or the cohabitation subsidy, which concerns the cases in which the beneficiary is accommodated in the residence of a relative or friend for the above periods of time .
In addition, he noted that the start date of the subsidy is defined as either cohabitation start date or tenancy start date.
“So the project and the effort of all involved continues unabated, we stand by the Thessalians who are being tested. We are here and we will be here for a long time until Thessaly heals its wounds and pulls forward again,” concluded Mr. Triandopoulos.
