A popular Turkish DJ was allegedly tortured to death in London by “sadistic thugs” who inflicted 94 injuries on him. The perpetrators, according to the New York Post, beat him severely with a bat and stabbed him in the legs, while locking his partner in the toilet for two days.

Mehmet Koray Alpergin, 43, and his 34-year-old partner, Gozde Dalbudak, were abducted by six men near the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London as they returned home from an Italian restaurant in Mayfair on October 13, 2022, according to the New York Post.

The perpetrators had allegedly installed a tracking device in his car. The pair got into separate vehicles, with the 34-year-old taken to an empty bar at knifepoint.

The body of the unfortunate man was found in woodland near Essex on October 15. He himself was brutally beaten with a bat, kicked, punched, and even burned with boiling water, after being stabbed in the legs.

Attack linked to ‘organized crime’

“The prosecution alleges that the dj was kidnapped and tortured to be punished either for something he had done, or to be forced to reveal something he knew – perhaps the location of drugs or money,” said lawyer Crispin Aylett. “It is obvious that before his death Koray Alpergin had been stripped naked and horribly tortured,” he continued, arguing that the attack was linked to “organized crime” and drugs.

The popular DJ also reportedly owes about $40,000 on his car, the New York Post reported.
