THE Ukrainian military announced today that its forces “successfully” hit the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in its port Sevastopol in Crimeawithout giving further details.

Russia’s defense ministry said a serviceman was missing after a Ukrainian missile attack, revising an earlier statement that the serviceman had been killed. In his statement he also mentions that Russian air defenses shot down a total of five Ukrainian missiles.

At least one missile hit the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in its Crimean port Sebastoupolislocal governor Mikhail Raznozaev announced on Telegram.

“The enemy launched a missile attack on the fleet leader”Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Raznozaev wrote on Telegram, clarifying that the tally of possible victims is being compiled and that the debris fell near the adjacent resort.

Raznozaev stated that a second strike is possible and called on residents to avoid the city center where the Black Sea Fleet headquarters is located.

Firefighters are at the scene of the attack.

“A new attack is possible. Don’t come downtown, stay inside the buildings. For those near fleet headquarters, in case you hear sirens, go to the shelters”, wrote to Telegram Mikhail Raznozaev, the Moscow-appointed governor of Sevastopol following the annexation of Crimea in 2014.
