“The military situation in and around the Korean peninsula is heading to the brink of nuclear war» said Pyongyang’s ambassador, Kim Song, in his speech at the UN General Assembly, severely criticizing Washington’s policy in Northeast Asia.

Kim Song accused the US and South Korea of ​​causing “a dangerous situation.” As a result, his country is forced to “accelerate the development of self-defense capabilities,” he argued.

“Due to its slanderous and humiliating policy of depending on external powers,” Kim said in his address to the General Assembly, “the Korean peninsula is a hair away from immediate danger of nuclear war”.

He also commented on her recent formation Nuclear Advisory Groupthrough which the United States hopes to better integrate its nuclear capability with South Korea’s conventional forces, with the two allies increasing intelligence sharing and contingency planning.

Kim commented that the group was “committed to planning, operating and executing a pre-emptive nuclear strike against the DPRK.”

“The US is now moving into the practical stage of carrying out its sinister intent to provoke a nuclear war by frequently sending strategic nuclear submarines and strategic nuclear bombers carrying nuclear weapons into and around the Korean Peninsula for the first time in decades,” he said.
