A New Hampshire man, celebrating his birthday with his three daughters, witnessed the magnificent sight, receiving a “gift” of rare beauty
Video of three humpback whales making out synchronized triple jump in the ocean was recorded in July by a family in the USA.
The man from New Hampshire, who was celebrating his birthday with his three daughters saw the magnificent sight, receiving a “gift” of rare beauty
“It was so moving to watch. Just unbelievable,” said Robert Andy, who is a fisherman but had never seen anything like it on the trip with his daughters, which was for his 59th birthday and to celebrate his safe return from a humanitarian aid trip to Ukraine where he came under heavy artillery fire.
“A triple jump is unprecedented, and a synchronized triple jump is even rarer“, he said. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime (experience). I just feel very lucky, I feel blessed.”
In fact, seconds after the three whales did their “dance”, a young whale followed them, also leaping. Whale experts later told Andy that the aerial maneuvers may have been an attempt to remove parasites or to enhance digestion.
He himself has another, less prosaic, theory. “I have a feeling that maybe they were teaching or training” the younger whale, he said.
While out fishing with his three daughters, Robert Addie caught something so rare even marine scientists are jealous – a “whale ballet” featuring three humpback whales leaping from the water in near-perfect unison. 🐋 🐋 🐋 https://t.co/UvBoOoFDTR pic.twitter.com/uLujYFziGX
