A 22-year-old German woman is believed to be seriously injured and a Hamas hostage – some reports say she is dead, but the report has not been confirmed – following yesterday’s attacks on Israel. Her family, who live in Israel, are appealing for help. Four more German citizens are being held by the organization.

Ricarda Luke from Ravensburg, Baden-Württemberg, believes that the young woman seen on video lying in only her underwear and boots in a truck with four armed Palestinians is her 22-year-old daughter, Sunny Luke. “This morning my daughter kidnapped with a group of tourists in southern Israel. They sent us a video, in which I can clearly recognize our daughter. Unconscious, in the car with the Palestinians, as they drove to the Gaza Strip. I’m asking for any help, any news,” said Mrs. Luke, expressing hope that her daughter is still alive and will be released.

The young woman was attending an electronic music festival with thousands of Israelis in the Negev desert on Friday night when Hamas launched a rocket attack on the area in the early hours. Eyewitnesses speak of a state of panic at the festival site, with gunmen shooting into the crowd and people running in panic in all directions.

In the video circulating through the X platform (formerly Twitter), a farm vehicle is depicted, on the back of which a young woman is lying motionless, wearing only her underwear and boots, blood in her hair. Around her, armed Palestinians shout “Allahu Akbar” and present her as a trophy to the cheering crowd. Men and children chase the vehicle and a small boy spits contemptuously at the woman.

Ms Luke, speaking to Der Spiegel magazine, explained that she decided to go public with her daughter’s German citizenship (her father is Israeli) in order for the German authorities to take action. He is, as he said, in communication with the German embassy in Israel and with the Federal Anti-Crime Service of the German Police. Meanwhile, he said, her daughter’s credit card was used in the Gaza Strip, the bank informed her.

Sunny Luke, as the journalist writes in his post on Facebook Nikos Agouros, who has previously lived in Israel, is a “German national participated in the outdoor dance party. As news of the attack began to spread, her family members tried to contact her because they knew she would be there. Unfortunately, when horrific videos of the hostage-taking – children, young women, elderly people – began to leak on social media, they recognized Shani in one of them, unconscious, and began a massive mobilization of the family to locate her. Shani is 22 years old, tattoo artist. He loves Greece, where he has family and friends. She has spent many holidays here, in Pelion and Volos. In fact, together with her boyfriend, they were planning to organize a party soon in Greece”. Yes, the Nikos Agouros, accompanies his post with a photo of the girl on the Acropolis:

However, other German citizens are believed to be prisoners of Hamas. According to BILD, it is Doron-Kats-‘Asher, her two daughters (3 and 5 years old) and her mother. Her husband recognized his family in videos of civilians being arrested by Hamas men.
