The need to find a political solution to achieve peace the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, expressed today from Jordan, while rejecting practices such as the killing of civilians and hostage-taking by both sides.

The Palestinian president went to Jordan today where he had talks with the King of Jordan, King Abdullah II, and is expected to meet with Anthony Blinken, who will go to Jordan after his visit to Israel for talks with Benjamin Netanyahu.

The main Palestinian news network, Wafa, reported that Abbas stressed “the need to take political action to end the occupation and achieve peace,” while adding that he rejects practices related to killing or abusing civilians and by both sides.

The Palestinian president called for the release of civilians and prisoners, stressing the need to “stop settler terrorism against our people in Palestinian cities, villages and camps in the West Bank.”
