Hamas released another video of a hostage from Israel. It is about for a 21-year-old girl, Maya Sem, who has been held hostage by the terrorist organization since October 7 and makes a dramatic appeal for her release. 21-year-old Maya was participating in the festival for peace on the Israeli border, where 260 people died after the attack by Hamas terrorists.

“Hi, I’m Maya Shem, 21 years old from Soham. I am currently in Gaza. I came back early Saturday morning from Sderot – I was at a party. I seriously injured my hand. They brought me to Gaza and took me to the hospital here for three hours. They took care of me and gave me medication. I’m just asking you to bring me back to my home as soon as possible, to my parents, to my siblings. Please take me out of here as soon as possible”, he is heard saying in the video.

Hamas claims to be providing medical care to the girl. On Hamas’ Arabic Telegram channel, the video is accompanied by the caption, “Mujahideen from the Al-Qassam Brigades provide medical care to a female prisoner in Gaza.”

Shem’s family confirmed to Israeli media that it was her and said they were happy to see her again.

“Once the reports started, I called her cell phone,” says Maya’s mother, Keren Sem. “And the phone rings for hours, but there’s no answer. I demand to know, someone to tell me something. No one tried to find me, I posted on Facebook – I did everything I could to let everyone know my daughter was missing, but no one has contacted me.”

Maya’s aunt, Galit, told Israeli media “Today (the family) called me screaming and told me they saw Maya in a Telegram video. I saw her and thought I was dreaming. I finally saw the girl after so long. She looks hurt and scared – but at least she’s alive.”

The Israeli military (IDF) commented that Maya’s family had been notified that she had been abducted last week and that IDF representatives were in contact with her. According to Israeli government data, the hostages from Israel that Hamas is holding in its territory are at least 199.
