The level of the threat of terrorist act in United Kingdom is “under continuous evaluation”, said the security official Deputy Home Secretary Tom Tugendhat.

As he noted, it cannot be predicted based on any planning whether there will be an increased threat to the country due to developments in the Middle East and decisions are made based on security information.

“And this, quite rightly, is not done by politicians, but by experts, the Unified Terrorism Analysis Center”, added Mr. Tugdenhat.

During the week the head of the British security service MI5 warned that the developments in Israel and Gaza they could “radicalize” and “inspire” lone wolves tpirates in Britain.

Besides, in a speech in London, the head of the British Committee for Countering Extremism, Robin Simcox, is expected to say that there is a “developed, well-supported and capable” support network for Hamas and Iran on British soil.

According to the Telegraph, he will say that Iran has the ability not only to carry out or instigate acts of violence within the UK, but also to spread extremist views through the country’s Muslim clerics, aid organizations and educational institutions.
