A summit on the Palestinian issue and the Hamas-Israel war will be held tomorrow, Saturday, in Cairo, which will be attended by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

The president of the European Council Charles Michel will travel tomorrow to Egypt, which is likely to welcome tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees seeking to flee the war-torn Gaza Strip – a likely new migration “challenge” for the EU.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in the recent emergency teleconference of the European Council on the situation in the Middle East, reiterated the need for the E.U. to speak with a single voice on such an important issue for regional and European security.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today that he had no information on who might represent the Russia at the meeting and referred the question to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
