Lavros against her of Turkey, of Iran, but also of the UN Secretary General, is the representative of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs who spoke to SKAI and Yiannis Souliotis. The representative of the Israeli ministry Lior Hyatt foresees that after the end of the war, which will be of long duration, Hamas will have no control over Gaza.

“The Turkish president is on the wrong side of history. Anyone who is not with Israel supports terrorism.” This is stated, among other things, in his exclusive interview with SKAI by the representative of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Hamas has turned the Gaza Strip into a terrorist base with the aim of killing as many Israelis as they can, as we saw on October 7. If you are not with Israel, then you are supporting a terrorist organization. And I think what the president of Turkey did was to stand on the wrong side of history by supporting a terrorist organization that killed over 1,400 Israelis and kidnapped over 220.”

SKAI: Despite its inflammatory rhetoric, several analysts believe that Iran will not want to play an active role in the crisis risking an Israeli reaction, what do you think?

“I believe that Iran is the source of all evil in the Middle East. They are the ones who fund terrorism. Those who arm terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen and many other areas. Every region Iran touches is mired in misery, poverty, violence and terrorism.”

The UN officials who are speaking out now were very, very, very silent on October 7

In SKAI’s question about the more than 7,000 dead Palestinians and the allegations of a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Israeli official disputes everything.

“I don’t believe any of the numbers that Hamas publishes in the international media. Hamas lies and lies and lies, and uses the international media as part of its propaganda against Israel. Israel does not target civilians.”

SKAI: The leaders of the E.U. they called for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas on humanitarian grounds. Is Israel considering such a possibility?

“Israel is not in favor of a humanitarian ceasefire. We support the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid to Gaza as long as it does not end up in the hands of Hamas terrorists.”

SKAI asked the representative of the Israeli Foreign Ministry to comment on the statements of UN officials who accused Israel of collective punishment of the Palestinian people

“Unfortunately the UN officials who are speaking now were very, very, very silent on October 7 and lost the moral ground to speak to us. If you didn’t say anything on October 7, I invite you to shut it up.”

SKAI: What is your opinion on Greece’s attitude during the crisis?

“We appreciate the Greek support to Israel. The fact that an elected official from Greece (Mr. Mitsotakis) came to Israel, spoke to us, supported us is very important for Israel.”

The Israeli official warns that the war will be difficult and long, and sends the message that after it ends, Hamas will not be in control of the Gaza Strip.
