The father of the German-Israeli Sani Luke, who was kidnapped by Hamas, is a tragic figure, who, speaking about the loss of his daughter, claimed that she was “killed on the spot” by Hamas and “did not suffer”.

Nissim Luke said that his 22-year-old daughter danced with her friends at the Nova electronic festival near Kibbutz Re’im on October 7when Hamas gunmen started shooting anyone they saw.

Luke claimed that his daughter and her friends tried to escape the carnage in their car, but ten minutes later they were met by armed Hamas terrorists who opened fire on the vehicle, killing his daughter “instantly». He said that his daughter “did not suffer”.

However, Israeli President Isaac Herzog claimed that the young girl was beheaded and that Israeli officials found her skull. It is no longer clear what exactly happened to Sunny before she died.

“I am truly sorry to report that we have now received word that Sunny Luke has been murdered and has passed away. Her skull was found,” Herzog told German newspaper Bild.

“This means that these barbaric, sadistic animals simply cut off her head as they attacked, tortured and killed Israelis. It is a great tragedy and I offer my deepest condolences to her family.’

For more than three weeks, Sani’s family expected that their beloved daughter had survived the Hamas attack and that she could be freed from the terrorists.

The circumstances of Sunny Luke’s death

The circumstances surrounding Sunny’s death remain unclear. The girl was seen on a cart with Hamas gunmen surrounding her. It was unclear if she was alive in the video, although her mother later said she was alive and being held in a Gaza hospital.
