The Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Hamas announced today Friday that 9,227 people, of which 3,826 children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war with Israel on October 7.

Based on data from the Hamas Health Ministry, 2,405 women are among the dead.

Israel claims that the Iranian-backed Hamas has killed 1,400 people, mostly civilians, and has taken more than 240 hostages in the October 7 attacks, the bloodiest day in the conflict’s 75-year history.

Many Swedish citizens lost their lives in Gaza over the past month, Sweden’s foreign ministry announced on Friday, citing information received from local authorities.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the information after October 7. The Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem is handling the cases,” the ministry said in an emailed statement, as reported by the Jerusalem Post.

Sweden did not provide further information on the exact number of dead, or under what circumstances they died.
