Sirens for rocket attacks are sounding in the southern city of Sderot and two other communities near the Gaza border.

Earlier the Israel Defense Forces had confirmed that launched an attack against a source of anti-tank rockets fired from Lebanon at Yiftah, a kibbutz in northern Israel.

The IDF said the Iron Dome air defense system had intercepted a drone coming from “deep” Lebanon towards Israel.

Several other locations in northern Israel were also targeted by forces inside Lebanon, the IDF said.

“The IDF responded with artillery fire towards the source of the fire,” it said.

On Sunday morning, the Israeli army had again given civilians in the Gaza Strip a “window” of a few hours to flee to the southern part of the coastal enclave.

The bombardment of Gaza had continued into the evening with Palestinian authorities reporting that at least 51 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday night in the Al Maghazi refugee camp.

Among the victims are many women and children, as the Al Jazeera television network reports citing hospital sources.

So far there is no reaction from the Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) regarding the specific strike.
