Ukraine should “prepare” for Russian strikes on its infrastructure this winter, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned tonight, citing a possible increase in attacks.

“We must prepare for the possibility that the enemy will increase drone or missile strikes on our infrastructure,” Zelensky said in his daily address. “All our attention should be focused on defense (…) on what Ukraine can do to help our people get through the winter,” he said.

In the meantime, a delegation of Ukraine, led by the Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko, arrived in Washington today to discuss cooperation with the US and the support they can provide to the country.

Zelenskyi’s chief of staff Andrii Yermak, who is part of the delegation, said he would hold talks with officials in the White House, Congress and civil society representatives. Among the topics to be discussed are the Ukrainian president’s proposals for ending the war, strengthening Ukraine’s defense “and other important issues,” he added.
