A visit to Kiev a few days after taking office was made by the new Secretary of State of the United Kingdom, David Cameron.
By posting photo and video from the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky he said they had a good meeting “focused on weapons at the front”.
He commented that at the moment the world is not so focused on the war situation in Ukraine and that this distraction does not help, in an obvious reference to the conflict in the Middle East.
Lord Cameron said he wanted toand his first destination in his new post should be Kiev.
He added to Mr. Zelensky that the UK will continue to provide “moral, diplomatic, financial and above all military support” in Ukraine “not just this year and next year, but for as long as necessary” and that he will communicate with allies so that attention is not distracted from Ukraine.
Comment how although he had disagreements with Boris Johnson, the support offered by the former British Prime Minister to Ukraine was “the best thing”.
Lord Cameron also met his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba.
