Earlier today, the Commission asked its agencies to stop their advertising campaigns on Musk’s X platform
THE White House accused today Friday Elon Musk that he repeated “a disgusting, anti-Semitic lie” in his post on the X platform.
The billionaire businessman responded on Wednesday to another post in which the user said Jews encourage “hate against white people,” writing: “You spoke the exact truth.”
“It is unacceptable to repeat it the disgusting lie behind the worst anti-Semitic action in American history, and one month after the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust,” White House spokesman Andrew Bates commented in response to this post.
Musk responded to a post that argued that Jewish communities “they promote exactly the same dialectical hatred against whites who say they want it not to be used against them.”
The post also talked about “hordes of minorities” flooding the countries of the West, a popular anti-Semitic conspiracy theory. This theory was invoked in his latest writings by Robert Bowers, who murdered 11 people at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh in 2018. In his latest post on social networking sites, he claimed that a Jewish non-profit organization that helped refugees “brings invaders to kill our people.” The massacre at synagogue was the worst attack on Jews in American history.
Earlier today, the European Commission asked its agencies to halt their advertising campaigns on the X platform due to a “worrying increase in misinformation and hate speech,” according to a spokesman, Johannes Barke. This decision does not concern the use of the instrument by the Commission’s services, the representative clarified.
In October, the Commission launched an investigation into the possible dissemination of “false information” and “violent terrorist content” on the platform, against the background of the war in the Gaza Strip.
After all, the IBM company announced on Thursday that it is withdrawing, with immediate effect, all of its ads from the X platform.
