His prime minister Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stated today that his conviction is being strengthened, regarding the reaching a hostage release agreement between Israel and Hamas, adding that the challenges that remain are “very small”.
“The challenges facing an agreement are mainly practical and managerial,” stated the Sheikh Mohammed during a joint press conference with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell in Doha.
Qatar is the main negotiator between Israel and Hamas to reach a truce and cease-fire.
Borrell: UN resolutions must be respected
The EU’s High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell said in turn today during the joint press conference he had with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani that the UN Security Council decision on humanitarian pauses in Gaza should be implemented.
“The resolutions of the UN Security Council are not just words… They must be implemented,” Borrell said.
