According to an announcement by the government of Rome, on December 3rd, an Italian hospital ship will arrive at the port of Al Aris, in Egypt, with the aim of providing aid to the children who have been injured in Gaza.

As underlined in the announcement, pediatricians of other nationalities, mainly Qataris, but also health personnel belonging to a number of organizations will work on the ship.

At the same time, the Italian government announces that “the creation of a campaign hospital in Gaza is being studied, in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates”, while “doctors from two Italian hospitals, located in Rome and Genoa, are going to go to the Emirates to contribute in the treatment of Palestinian minors who were transferred to the country’s hospitals these days”.

As stated in the announcement, finally, the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has been closely following, from the first moment, the provision of aid to the civilian population of Gaza, in cooperation with the countries of the wider region.
