The Turkish president once again demanded that those responsible be convicted and held accountable under international law
In the developments surrounding the war in Gauze mentioned the Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the floor of the Global Climate Action Summit, COP28held in Dubai.
The Turkish president emphasized that the current situation in Gaza constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity and once again called for those responsible to be convicted and held accountable under International Law.
“The Israeli attacks that have claimed the lives of over 16,000 innocent Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, cannot be justified in any way,” he said.
Mr. Erdogan reiterated Turkey’s position that “recent events have once again brought to light the criticality of establishing an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
He also stated that his country is ready to assume “any and all responsibilities” that may arise in this process.
Concluding, he emphasized once again the slogan that “the world is bigger than five”, meaning the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.
