The Israeli military said on Sunday it had carried out about 10,000 airstrikes in the Gaza Strip since the war with Hamas broke out nearly two months ago.

He said the targets included command centers, underground tunnels and weapons depots belonging to Palestinian “terrorist” organizations.

On the other hand, according to Israeli sources, some 10,000 rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip against communities in Israel.

International criticism of the Israeli military’s handling of the Palestinian enclave is intensifying as the civilian toll continues to mount.

The Israeli army, for its part, accuses Hamas of attacking from residential areas and hospitals and of using civilians as human shields.

Since October 7, 15,523 people have been killed, 70% of whom were women and children, and another 41,316 have been injured, according to the latest figures from the Hamas Health Ministry.

According to the UN, about 80% of the 2.2 million residents of the Gaza Strip have been forced to flee their homes because of the war.
