Yesterday, Friday, both engines of a Boeing 737 S7 bound for Moscow from Novosibirsk caught fire, with the pilots immediately calling for an emergency landing. They were able to land the plane safely with no casualties.
While on Thursday, another Tu-204 aircraft caught fire after takeoff from Ulan-Ude, Siberia.
In the first eight months of this year, there were 120 plane crashes in Russia.
