“Alarm” in New York
At the same time in New York an alarm has been sounded for bad weather after three years. “This is the first high wind warning for New York since 2020”Fox meteorologist Seth Darling told The Post, noting that the warning means a greater risk of downed trees or power lines.
In the tri-state area, strong winds are expected to produce gusts of up to 50 mph, especially in areas farther east, Darling added. The heaviest rain is expected to begin around 3 p.m. and last until about 11 am. on Mondaywhile the strong winds will continue until Tuesday.
New York at the end of September it had again received a severe blow of bad weather as it had been flooded.
