The juvenile court in Bologna gave the “green light” today for the surgery and to be able to perform transfusions on a child, just two years old, who suffers from a serious heart disease and has been admitted to the Sant’Orsola hospital.
The boy’s parents had insisted that only the blood of unvaccinated donors be used for as many transfusions as needed, provoking a strong reaction from the country’s scientific community.
Meanwhile, new cases of coronavirus in Italy are 101,864 and 415 patients have died due to complications of Covid-19. In total, 999,095 diagnostic tests were performed, 10.2% of which were positive.
There are 1,376 patients in the intensive care units of the country, that is 47 less than yesterday Monday. There are 18,337 in the hospital wards (338 less compared to the previous 24 hours). At this stage, in Italy the number of people tested positive for the virus is 1,927,800.
The government of Rome, at the same time, confirmed that from February 11 the protective mask will no longer be mandatory in the open. It should be worn only in case of crowds. As for indoor areas, the mandatory use of the mask remains valid until March 31. Then, depending on the indicators of the pandemic, it will be decided to abolish or extend the measure.
In terms of football matches, according to the newspaper La Repubblica, the Draghi government intends to increase the fullness of the stadiums to 75% of the total from March 1 and then – if the cases continue to decrease – to return to fullness. 100%, most likely from March 15.
