IDF Says It Has Discovered About 1,500 Tunnel Shafts In Gaza Strip
Video of soldiers of the Air Force’s elite Shaldag unit operating inside in a Hamas tunnel in Gaza City the IDF announced today Tuesday. According to the Times of Israel, Shaldag soldiers ventured into the tunnel to scan it and gain information.
The IDF claims to have discovered approximately 1,500 tunnel shafts in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war and are working to demolish them, while reporting that the vast majority of tunnels have been found in civilian areas such as schools, mosques, hospitals, UN buildings and residences.
