They also experienced moments of panic Greeks who work at the University of Prague or are currently in the Czech capital according to deadly attack on a Charles University school.

Their testimonies to SKAI are shocking.

“We are all shocked and now our concern is which colleagues, which students are among the victims because this attack took place on the 4th floor which is the administrative services,” said Assistant Professor in the Czech Republic, Konstantinos Tsivos.

A Greek professor who was teaching in a room next to the philosophy school at the time of the attack, speaks exclusively to SKAI about the shocking incident.

“I had a lesson and I was intrigued by the fact that we were hearing police sirens. We got an email instructing us to stay locked down. All the teachers were recipients,” says Mr. Tsivos.

A Greek student describes the moments of panic seconds after the massacre.

“People were running in panic on the Charles Bridge, that there was panic, that they were very scared,” a Greek student in the Czech Republic.

At the time of the shootings, everyone remained locked in their homes.

“So there was a disturbance and that there were also some dead people due to shootings,” says the teacher in Prague, Virginia Buta.

Prague is a popular destination for Greek travelers on Christmas Day, with Greek tourist offices receiving special instructions from the police.

“Greeks exist. I have no information about any Greek being injured. We informed our customers that it is better to stay for the next few hours in the hotel or in a cafe, as the police have informed, until they are sure that the perpetrator was alone. They are particularly scared,” says a tourist office in the Czech Republic.
